EWEADN DK68 Star HE Magnetic Gaming Keyboard

The EWEADN DK68 Star HE is a wired magnetic gaming keyboard developed for players who prioritise rapid input, customisable actuation and accurate movement control. Its space-saving 68-key layout retains dedicated arrow keys and essential controls while creating more room for mouse movement.

The distinctive front RGB light box and ribbon-inspired design help the DK68 Star HE stand out from conventional compact gaming keyboards.

Gateron Magneto Hall Effect Switches

The keyboard uses Gateron Magneto magnetic switches. Unlike conventional mechanical switches that rely on metal contacts, Hall Effect switches detect changes in a magnetic field.

This technology allows the actuation distance to be configured through software, letting users choose sensitive settings for gaming or deeper actuation for typing.

The Magneto switch specifications include:

• Linear magnetic operation
• Approximately 30±10gf operating force
• Approximately 3.5±0.2mm total travel
• Rated lifespan of up to 100 million keystrokes

Adjustable Actuation

Adjustable actuation allows each supported key to register at a chosen point in its travel. A shallow setting provides faster inputs, while a deeper setting can reduce accidental keypresses.

This makes it possible to create different profiles for FPS gaming, rhythm games, typing and general computer use.

Rapid Trigger Technology

Rapid Trigger dynamically resets a key based on its physical movement rather than requiring it to return to a fixed reset point. The key can activate again as soon as its direction changes, enabling quicker repeated inputs and more responsive counter-strafing.

EWEADN advertises 0.01mm magnetic accuracy with Rapid Trigger adjustment precision reaching approximately 0.005mm under supported settings.

SOCD Directional Control

SOCD manages conflicting directional inputs such as pressing the left and right movement keys together. Depending on the selected software setting, the keyboard can prioritise the latest input or apply another supported directional behaviour.

Some competitive games and tournaments restrict particular SOCD behaviours. Players should review the rules of their game or tournament before enabling the feature.

Dynamic Keystroke Functions

The DK68 Star HE supports several advanced key functions:

• DKS: Assigns multiple actions to different points of one keypress
• MPT: Triggers functions at selected positions in a key’s travel
• MT: Provides separate tap and hold commands on one key
• TGL: Keeps a selected action active until the key is pressed again
• SOCD: Controls simultaneous opposite-direction inputs
• RS: Provides supported rapid-shift behaviour

These options allow gamers to customise movement, abilities, shortcuts and combination inputs.

32K Scan Rate and Low Latency

A 32K scan rate enables the keyboard controller to monitor key movement frequently and consistently. EWEADN rates the keyboard’s wired response latency at approximately 2ms.

The combination of frequent scanning, magnetic sensing and a stable wired connection provides responsive input for competitive gaming.

Compact 68-Key Layout

The 68-key layout removes the number pad and most unused spacing while keeping the arrow-key cluster and frequently used controls. This gives gamers more room for low-sensitivity mouse movement while maintaining better functionality than a traditional 60% layout.

RGB Light Box

The DK68 Star HE features 16.8-million-colour RGB backlighting and a dedicated front light box. Users can adjust the colour, brightness, animation and lighting speed to coordinate the keyboard with their gaming setup.

The floating-key design further exposes the lighting while making the space around the switches easier to clean.

Web-Based Configuration

EWEADN’s supported configuration software provides access to:

• Actuation-distance adjustment
• Rapid Trigger settings
• SOCD behaviour
• Dynamic Keystroke functions
• Key remapping
• Macro configuration
• RGB lighting effects
• Profile management

Both web-based and locally installed configuration options may be available depending on the operating system and firmware.

Wired USB-C Connection

The keyboard uses a wired USB Type-C connection for stable power and consistent input performance. It does not include Bluetooth or 2.4GHz wireless connectivity.
